Australiens största varv för fritidsbåtar – Riviera yachts – har presenterat flera nya modelelr det senaste året. Den australiensiska ekonomin som helhet har klarat sig relativt bra under den ekonomiska nedgången, men båtbyggarna fick känna av de bistrare tiderna på allvar. Riviera är nu definitivt ute ur krisen och står väl rustade på egna ben.
RIVIERA EXITS ADMINISTRATION

Riviera has received written notification on Friday June 25, 2010 from the company’s Deed Administrators that the Deed of Company Arrangement (DOCA) established in conjunction with Riviera’s creditors on January 22 this year has now been completed and thus Riviera has now officially exited from Administration.
Following the withdrawal of the business for sale previously announced on April 9, 2010 and the finalisation of the administration, Management and the Receivers are now planning Rivieras’ exit from receivership later this year.
Under the terms of the DOCA, all current and former employees have received all of their unpaid wages, superannuation, annual leave and any relevant redundancy payments. Current Riviera employee’s entitlements will continue to accrue and be available to those employees in the ordinary course of business.
Unsecured creditors have also received a dividend payment under the terms of the DOCA.
Under båtmässan Sanctuary Cove International Boat sålde Riviera 19 nya båtar till ett totalt värde av över 125 Mkr. Nio av dessa var den helt nya modellen Riviera 43 Open Flybridge, en båt som innebär en helt ny design för Riviera. Båtmodellen är dessutom försedd med Volvo Penta IPS framdrivningssystem.
Under det senaste året har Riviera sålt i genomsnitt 2,3 nya båtar per vecka, vilket är bra för ett varv som bygger stora båtar med relativt avancerade system och kundanpassning av många detaljer ombord.
Riviera bygger 20 olika modeller från 36 till 85 fot inom segmenten Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express och Motor Yachts.
