Helt nytt koncept - en utfällbar bobåt
2010-07-26Här är ett helt nytt koncept för att göra båtar rymligare och mer användbara. Det är ett italienskt företag som presenterar konceptet under namnet Wider. Tidigare har liknande lösningar använts i husbilar, lastbilstrailers med mera, men vi har inte sett det lika konsekvent utfört i en båt tidigare.
Den första modellen i Widerfamiljen är en 42 fots öppen daycruiser, utvecklad efter designidéer från konstruktören Tilli Antonelli, vars idéer har förfinats av Fulvio De Simoni. En mindre modell på cirka 35 fot och en större på cirka 50 är också på gång.
Förutom att konceptet med utfällbara sidor ger ett ökat utrymme inne i båten så ökas även båtens stabilitet påtagligt. Det blir som en enskrovsbåt med flera av flerskrovsbåtens fördelar.
Extra utrymme med pontoner fälls ut på varje sida av Widerbåten. Därmed får båten ett dubblerat boutrymme.
Denna uppfinning, patenterad av Tilli Antonelli, har gjort det möjligt att skapa en 15 m² salong i en båt på 42 fot.
Båten drivs av två motorer, som dock inte är monterade på klassiskt symmetriskt vis, utan monteras mer som i en racingbåt, vilket sägs ge mer stabilitet.

A high-performance, lightweight model built according to very latest vacuum-infusion moulding (Scrimp System) techniques with a carbon and vinyl-ester resin hybrid, and other parts in carbon only. The result is an aerodynamic product, where lightness is an essential feature, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and minimum waste. Wider 42’ can reach a top speed of over 45 knots with 370hp engines and Arneson surface propellers, guaranteeing a range of over 350 miles at a 40 knot cruising speed.
Lightness which also means a new way of experiencing the sea, thanks to the shape of the stepped hull. Creating an air cushion between the surface of the sea and the hull, this means the yacht rises to maintain a highly dynamic sailing trim.
Moreover, unlike normal hulls, this model is more trimmed by the stern especially during planing, guaranteeing the yacht always sails in a horizontal trim on the water, improving her performance and guaranteeing constant visibility, too.
Indeed, the stepped hull comes from racing yachts, and is still rather unusual in pleasure boats, requiring precision measurable in millimetres during both the design and construction stages of the shape of the yacht.
It is by no chance that the design of the Wider 42’ hull was entrusted to Mark Wilson, one of the top experts in the field of racing yachts, who also designed those with which his son won the World Championships three times, once in class P2 and twice in class P1.
The energy saving concept of this yacht also covers on-board electronics. A well-developed, highly technological CAN bus electrical system was produced in conjunction with Acson Marine (www.acsonmarine.it), and the extremely lightweight installation guarantees considerable savings in engine energy.
The partnership between Wider and Acson Marine has gone even further, leading to production of a helm station featuring solutions which have never been seen before, namely a multifunctional steering wheel, similar to those used in Formula 1. The wheel has a fixed, built-in mini instrument panel, with a multi-view display featuring all the information necessary for sailing, and is equipped with a basic helm station with just a plotter and VHF, as all the propulsion equipment is controlled by the built-in display on the steering wheel.
WIDER IS: VERSATILE ENVIRONMENTS
The cockpit furnishings are clearly different to all the other models currently available on the market, and focus on convertibility: the windscreen protecting the seating can be raised and concealed.
The space in front of these seats is split into three different parts which, if raised separately, will transform into two chaises longue, a luncheon area, or a single sundeck.
Once again, in order to guarantee maximum versatility of use, the stern can house a jet ski or rubber dinghy, or even a diving centre, in an uncovered garage.
The housing for the jet ski (or rubber dinghy) lowers towards the stern, forming a slide to facilitate haulage and launch operations. Moreover, once the water toys have been removed, the same space can be converted into an additional sundeck.
WIDER IS: DESIGN, COMFORT AND NEW MATERIALS CREATING A FUN PARK AT SEA
The internal furnishings of the yacht ensure complete comfort during a day at sea, with a kitchenette, seating which can be transformed into a large, comfortable bed in case of need, and a head with a large, separate shower.
Special attention has been paid to the choice of the materials. The vertical surfaces inside the cabin display the carbon laminate, whilst the structural bulkheads are clad in a new linen fabric with a polished finish.
Esthec (www.esthec.com) was chosen for the cladding of the deck. This sophisticated material has been reinvented, and now features new colours. It offers all the positive characteristics of teak, such as aesthetic appearance and being pleasant to the touch, is environmentally sustainable during its lifecycle, and can be completely recycled. Esthec is indestructible, stain resistant, fireproof, non-slip, will not splinter, and requires no maintenance.
Lastly, as Wider is a fun park to be experienced on the open sea, heavy, cumbersome, fixed fibreglass seating has been replaced with inflatable cushioning and seats. If and when necessary, they can also be used as floating airbeds and seats in the water for total relaxation - almost completely removing the dividing line between the yacht and the sea.

Svensk förare skriver nytt F1-kontrakt
Det går bra för flera svenska racerbåtsförarna nu igen. Oskar Samuelsson har skrivit kontrakt med det italienska tillika flerfaldiga F1-världsmästarteamet Rainbow. – Jag kommer att bli en del av den nysatsningen som F1-serien för båtar gör på talangfulla ungdomar. Varje stall kommer att ha en talang som tävlar för dem i klassen Formula 4s, en klass med så kallade ”gröna” miljöklassade motorer. Under varje tävlingshelg för F1 H2O under kommande höst kommer det att köras två tävlingar, säger Oskar Samuelsson.

Suzuki kör PR-turné med Capelli RIB-båtar

Det är KGK Motor AB, som bland annat importerar Suzuki utombordsmotorer och Capelli RIB-båtar till Sverige, som kommer att visa upp två nya tuffa RIB från italienska Capelli: Capelli 750 eXtreme och Capelli 625 eXtreme.
